The Mobile Therapist (MT) provides individual and family therapy to a child and their family. He/She assists in promoting the independence of the family, by managing mental health needs and/or behavior problems. The MT develops a crisis plan with other involved professionals and the family. He/She must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to effectively assist these patients with their mental health needs.
The ideal candidate must be a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, or Clinical Psychologist, or Clinical Social Worker, or have a graduate degree in Mental Health. He/ she must have at least one year full-time, paid experience in a mental health services agency, only working with children and adolescents. In addition, the MT must have certifications in CPR/First Aid and an unrestricted driver's license in this state. He/She must be knowledgeable regarding mental health care systems, have individual and family therapy experience, and be able to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
